The Fathima Memorial Educational Trust was established on 26-10-1991 under the chairmanship of Dr. A Younus Kunju Ex.M.L.A .

Dr. A Younus Kunju Ex M.L.A, a man with true vision, was a famous Political Leader ,Philanthropist ,Industrialist and above all a man who stood for the upliftment of the downtrodden .He was a man who come up from a very poor economic back ground .He dedicated his efforts for the benefit of all sections of the society. He established a number of educational institutions including Higher Secondary school ,Engineering colleges ,Poly Technic Colleges, Training colleges ,Teacher Training Institutes ,Civil Service Coaching Centres, Entrance Coaching Centres .Being an industrialist ,he stressed on the importance of education in the development of society. He had been the chairman of Fathima Memorial Educational Trust until his death in 2022

After his death,His wife Mrs.Dharifa Beevi ,Secretary of Fathima Memorial Educational Trust took charge as the chairperson of FMET .She had been a pillar to the founder chairman in all his ups and downs in life .In the absence of the founder chairman, She shouldered all the responsibilities concerning the educational institutions and industries .The staff of Fathima Memorial Training College enjoyed her love, motherly affection  and care  from the beginning of the institution .In 2023 she passed away and Mr Y.Shajahan  ,the eldest son , took charge of the chairman ship of  Fathima Memorial Educational Trust
