ABOUT THE COLLEGE
The college started functioning in july 1997 by the untiring effort of Late Dr.A.Yonus Kunju Ex.MLA, the founder and manager of this college.The college was inaugurated by Janab.Panakkad Sayed Muhammadali Shihab Tangal on 02-08-1998 at a function presided over by Dr.N. Babu,Vice Chancellor,University of Kerala. Fathima Memorial Training college comes under the Fathima Memorial Educational Trust consisting of Mr. Y.Shajahan ,Chairman of the trust and Mr .Y.Noushad Secretary of the Trust.The Director Board Members of the trust include Mrs.Y Mumtaz,Mrs.Y Raziya ,Mr.Y.Anzar and Mr.Y.Hashim
At the time of inception of Bachelor of Education Course (B.Ed) ,there was an intake of 100 students in six optional subjects.English,Malayalam,Mathematics,Physical Science,Natural Science and Social Science .The intake was raised to 200 students during the academic year 2010-2011 .The present intake of B.Ed students is two units with 100 students The Master of Education course (M.Ed) .section started functioning in the academic year 2010-2011 with an intake of 25 students.The intake was raised to 35 students during the academic year 2011-2012 .At present the intake of M.Ed course is one unit with 40 students
The college was accredited by NAAC with A grade in the year 2012 with CGPA of 3.19 .The college is now in the process of second phase of accreditation by National Assessment and Accreditation Council
The institution provides an exceptional learning environment for prospective teachers that has been instrumental in improving the holistic development of the students.A sound exposure to the theoretical orientation ,community experience and practical works are provided by the innovative teaching strategies adopted by the teaching faculty and the diverse equipping facilities of the institution
